The Directorate of Agriculture (R&E) is looking after the flowing programmes :
1. Research & Education under which different research activities and maintenance of educational institutions under the Directorate are taken care of.
2. Agricultural Farm and Quality Seeds Production : Under the scheme production of quality seeds of different crops were taken up. Side by side adaptability trial of different crop were also taken up.
3. Integrated Training Centre : The training Centre of Basic Agriculture & Allied Subjects is maintained under the programme.
4. Extension Training Centre : Under the scheme different programmes relating to fulfilling the requirements as per MoU in respect of the functioning of the KVKs are being included.
5. Extension & Education : Under the scheme latest agricultural technologies including packages of practices etc are demonstrated in different areas of Mizoram.
